About Us

Consultations Gratuites is a legal clinic in French assisting French speakers with their queries in housing and employment law. Consultations Gratuites operates every Thursday night in London in St Mary's Church crypt (Islington) from 7 to 8 pm on a drop-in basis.

The service is free and seeks to help French-speaking individuals with limited financial means. During the session, the advisers will give you an initial response to your legal query or will direct you to the appropriate service. We cannot represent you before the Courts.

Consultations Gratuites is affiliated with Law Works (www.lawworks.org.uk)

Consultations Gratuites was set-up by two French avocats Sybille Idrac- Raphael and Nathalie Lobel-Lastmann in February 2008 following discussions with the French Embassy and others in the French community, which showed a need for legal support for French speakers in London.

We are staffed by a team of volunteers. All our advisers have a legal qualification (solicitors, barristers or French lawyers).

The project has generated great interest, and is supported by prestigious patrons.
